Los Angeles Readers - Bob Funk wants you!
Here it is, ladies and gentlemen! Your first chance to see me in the credits of a film on the big screen, and a very important opportunity for you to help me produce Sam Bailey this year. In a moment, I'll explain how you can help. For now, check out the trailer:

Tickets will be available on www.laemmle.com.
First of all, let me say that of all the work I've done with Unified Pictures to date, it is Bob Funk that gives me the most pride. With his merry band of pranksters and some help from our industry's very best comic talent, Craig Carlisle has directed the funniest, most honest, and most personal look at alcoholism I've ever seen on film. Bob Funk is the story of a man whose self-absorbed decline puts his mother in the awkward position of having to fire him from the family business. His addictive, codependent outlook then drives him to fall for the woman she hires to replace him!
Bob's journey as he digs himself out of that hole is the truest kind of comedy, where the laughs at the beginning come from awkwardness and fear, and the laughs at the end come from healing and connection. In the middle, you get life. Bravo, Craig!
Los Angelinos, you owe it to yourself to see this film.
Moreover, independent cinema, Unified Pictures, and my own work all need your support! Let me explain...
Today, independent releases are driven by the per-screen average. How well Bob Funk does at the Laemmle's on Sunset will determine what other markets the film gets exposed to. Everybody wants a winner, right? Right now, there are dozens, even hundreds of movie theaters around the country looking to see if Bob Funk is that winner. Certainly, it can be. Whether it becomes that success depends on you!
If Bob Funk performs well in the cities it is originally released in, the release will expand and more people will see it. Once the film is successful, Unified Pictures can expand its services and production capabilities, and I personally stand to make enough off the release, the overseas, and the DVD to finance a good portion of Sam Bailey. You've taken an interest in my work. Here's your chance to take action.
On February 27, Bob Funk will begin a one week run at the Laemmle's Sunset 5. All you have to do is come, enjoy yourself, and spread the word about a fantastic film!
Again, tickets will be available on www.laemmle.com.
