Roger Ebert on "A Prairie Home Companion"

When I saw Robert Altman's film (based on the radio show) A Prairie Home Companion in theaters, it reminded me of everything I love about the stage, about community, and about good work with good people.  To those who know Garrison Keillor, this is no surprise.

Through the goodwill and friendship Roger Ebert extends to filmmakers, though his knowledge, his experience, and his compassion, our man Ebert has reveals something which probably should have been obvious to me - Altman loves the same things I do.  Maybe that's why he made a movie about it.  Certainly, Ebert's essay is a humbling, hand-warming read on things I feel are critical to good film and a good life.
