Wrapping Up a Few Things
Because there's no point in creating extra expectation, I'll keep the details light - but there's two points I want to hit on.
On the one hand, I have an interview on Monday that I suspect will wrap up this job search in a manner that fulfills all my goals. For making this work as smoothly as it has, I extend my thanks to my fellow Phillipians Andover. My alumni community has been there for me once again, and it just makes me more proud to be a part of it. Thank you.
On the other, job or no, I'm not going to get much done about it over a holiday weekend, so I'm working diligently to wrap up the rough draft of Heartsgaard. More and more, this looks to be something I can shoot on the megacheap, and juicy roles have popped up for most of my favorite undiscovered actors. As I hit the end of Act II today, I made one of those wonderful discoveries that makes Act III way simpler and way more juicy. Plus, it offers up more screentime for a character that I hope will be played by one of my favorite women, and one of my favorite actors, on the planet. All around, it's been a good day.
So far, my one big act of celebration has been to put on my sneaker over my shattered foot, and try walking around in my own shoes for the first time since April. It needs a lot of work, but it seems to be healing.
I guess that's true across the board, ne pas?
I'm going to take a break from Heartsgaard, watch something 4th of Julyish, and see if I can get myself invited to a barbecue or some fireworks. If not, I'll dive back into the drama and comedy of my labors and life.
