Learning to Simplify
Recently, I received treatment for my leg injury from Sifu Marcus Lovemore at the recommendation of a friend. His approach is literally holistic - his methods range from chiropractics to martial arts training to new age technology to traditional energy work to psychology... Right away, he started making strong and simple recommendations on how I could improve my standard of living, and his suggestions and techniques proved so effective that I've committed to working with him as a coach - my first since Andover. We're becoming partners in my self-development.
Partly, that's how he reached me. My healing and growth has always been my responsibility. To me, anyone who claims they can take it off my hands is a charlatan. Sifu Marcus is just sick of watching me botch it up.
Here's a guy I can really talk to!
Before I get to the point of this blog, I want to direct anyone who's interested to Sifu's website, at: www.masterytrainingsystems.com
Here's the point: Sifu's work is highly individualized, and with me, we went through my entire life and took a very organized, analytical look at the things that have meant the most to me, going back as far as my childhood playtime. I reverse-engineered my purpose in life. Wanna know it? Here it is:
My life’s purpose is to explore possibilities through intense, intimate experiences, create so others can experience, and move on to the next exploration.
I express my purpose by breaking boundaries, telling stories, and caring for my loved ones.
I live my purpose so that I can live continuously in service, fun, ecstasy, happiness, growth, paradise, and love.
All my passion for learning, all my frustration with where I'm at in film finance, all the crazy relationships I've gotten into that I've defended even when I knew they were crazy... It all falls into place in this context.
I'm letting my life steer itself back on track. I'm going to allow myself to have those extreme, intense experiences, and I'm going to allow myself to focus on creative work - I'm sure the experiences and the creation will overlap in many cases. Unified Pictures is important to me, my actors are important to me, because taking care of the people I love through my storytelling, sharing my experiences with them through creative expression, is the point of me. Telling stories with my loved ones, sharing cathartic experiences, and allowing the most intense aspects of the people I love into the world through my art... That's what I live for.
I've been distracting myself. No more. If you're reading this, you know what I'm about. Expect nothing less.
As the things I've worked the last few years for materialize over the next few weeks, I urge you to consider how someone like Sifu Marcus can help you simplify your own life. Once again, Sifu Marcus Lovemore can be reached through www.masterytrainingsystems.com.
