Oh, to be a SkyChaser...

For those following my work in gaming and interactive, I've just finished my rough draft on the rules section of SkyChasers, and it's 14 pages.

That's less than half the page count of Restoration or Shardfall.

At the very least, this is something parents and kids who have no interest in arcane details like Cover Modifiers can play together, and have a great time doing it.  At the same time, I'm very pleased to say that while the system is simple (and slick, I hope), it also uses storytelling and lateral thinking as actual game mechanics.

In other words, the rules aren't just an engine for storytelling.  The rules are an engine that runs on story!

Playtesting will be critical to figuring out of this actually works, and there is loads and loads of writing yet to do... but this is shaping into something very exciting, and it's only the beginning!
