The Stormcrow: Tome of the Ancient Other

One of my writing goals is to use the stories that strike me as necessary to the studios as the means to bring value to my own independent work, and to my creative community.  Honestly, I just have too many good stories to direct them all myself.  Because I tend to gravitate towards very creatively challenging material as a producer and director, and as the studios need a degree of risk mitigation in their genre films, I can cultivate deeper relationships and deeper pockets in service to my creative goals, instead of in spite of them.  So long as I keep writing everything down, I get the best of both worlds.

In the wake of the strike, one of those stories is getting some very positive attention, and I mention it here with the intent of keeping that forward momentum.  The Stormcrow is an iconic horror character on the order of Freddy Krueger or Hannibal Lecter, grounded firmly in the adventure novels of the '30's as written by Lovecraft and his contemporaries.  A short synopsis of the script follows:

Haunting visions drive a young woman and an occult adventurer to confront unspeakable horror.

Like an evil Indiana Jones facing the otherworldly terrors of the Exorcist, the Stormcrow is a supernatural investigator in the pulp tradition of H.P. Lovecraft.  His first adventure brings him to the dried-up boondocks of 1930's South Carolina, looking for a long-forgotten tome...

Without representation, I'm dependant on lateral thinking to get this script into the right hands, and I'm open to anything from finder's fees to script reviews from respectable sources.  If you have any ideas or solutions in mind, give me a holler!

In the meantime, I'm happy to report that the script is in the hands of multiple filmmakers I admire, both from a creative standpoint, and as a businessman.  It's a good feeling, and it bodes well for things to come.
